Cole Slaw
One of my favorite side dishes to accompany any kind of BBQ’d meat. Goes great on a pulled pork sandwich. Try it on a hot dog.
Cole Slaw
Easy homemade cole slaw

Ingredients
- ½ head Green Cabbage
- ½ Carrot
- ½ cup Mayonaisse
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar or white vinegar
- ¼ tsp Garlic Powder
- ½ tsp Sweet Paprika
- ½ tsp Black Pepper fresh ground is preferred
- 1 pinch Salt
Instructions
- Add the vinegar and sugar to a mixing bowl and stir thoroughly
- Add the mayo, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, and stir some more
- Cut up the cabbage
- Cut up the carrot, I use a peeler to get thin strips, then chop those up
- Stir everything together and add salt to taste
Notes
Keep this refrigerated. It only keeps for a day or two. Give it a good stir before serving.
The seasoning amounts are approximate, adjust them to your taste.
You could also add some purple cabbage to make it look more interesting.
